In his address to Congress on April 16, 1945, President Harry Truman said, "Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices."

Truman was right. The debt America owes our veterans and active duty servicemembers, as well as their families, can never be repaid. But it doesn’t hurt to try.

As you see, we recently announced our new uniform, a shift from Veterans Advantage to WeSalute. We did this to better reflect our core mission: to salute veterans and active-duty servicemembers and their family members for their service.

With these new offers, we want to help “pay down the debt” of your service, and recognize the sacrifices that you and your families made and continue to make for the benefit of others, both on the battlefield and at home.

In doing so, we honor the special strength of character that you and your families brought to your military service, and the spirit of service you continue to bring to your communities. The greatest sacrifice is service to friends and country, and the greatest sacrifice deserves the greatest reward. For your sacrifice, we salute you.
