Scott’s View: Recognizing American Airlines Chief Operating Officer & West Pointer David Seymour

Scott

We hope you enjoy today’s TopVet feature of David Seymour, the Chief Operating Officer of American Airlines and a West Point graduate.

I’m always fascinated by biographies of West Point graduates like David. They are borne of the rich traditions of West Point, the oldest of our five U.S. service academies. The academies create a pool of the best officers in our military, and many of them like David go on to great success in business.

When I first met David and we talked about partnering together, he “got” what Veterans Advantage was all about and agreed that American should be part of it. He’s someone who makes things happen, so we moved quickly to forge a wonderful partnership.

Thanks to David and his team, our American Airlines partnership has been a great success as we enter our third year together. On behalf of our members, David, thank you for your commitment and support, for which we are most grateful!

Van Dyke celebrated his 100th birthday on December 13, a milestone marked not by a lavish Hollywood gala, but in true Van Dyke fashion: with a low-key day at home watching Jeopardy! reruns with his wife, Arlene Silver.
