Scott’s View: Paul “Bud” Bucha: An American Original

Scott Higgins

They say the best friendships are the ones that remain unchanged and endure no matter how many years pass. That describes the friendship between Paul W. “Bud” Bucha and myself.

Bud is a recipient of the Medal of Honor for valor he demonstrated in 1968, at a time we were both serving in Vietnam. He assisted us in the founding of WeSalute, when it was known as Veterans Advantage, 25 years ago. Bud has served on our Board of Advisors since inception and has been a tireless supporter of our mission of thanking those who serve and their families.

As Bud faces an uncertain future with his recent health challenges, we are assured in knowing he is supported by his remarkable spouse Cynthia, and his close circle of family and friends.

As Americans celebrating Military Appreciation Month, we wish to extend to Bud our deepest gratitude for his past leadership and patriotic support of our nation.
