Scott's View: A Weekend of Well-Earned Rest and Enduring Remembrance
Scott Higgins, WeSalute Co-founder & Co-CEO

As Labor Day weekend arrives, we at WeSalute want to extend our sincere appreciation and best wishes to all of our members and their families. This long weekend is a cherished opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved break, connect with loved ones, and celebrate the incredible contributions of American workers who form the backbone of our nation.
Whether you're enjoying a barbecue, embarking on a last-of-the-summer trip, or simply taking a moment to relax, we hope you have a happy and restful weekend. It's a time to acknowledge the hard work that drives our country's prosperity and to appreciate the collective effort that has built and sustained our way of life.
In the spirit of our mission to honor service and sacrifice, our attention also turns to a date of equal solemnity and significance that follows shortly after this weekend: the 24th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
Twenty-four years ago, our nation was brought to its knees, but in the face of unimaginable tragedy, we also witnessed an outpouring of strength, unity, and unwavering resolve. We remember the nearly 3,000 people who perished on that day, and we honor the first responders who rushed into harm's way without a second thought.
At WeSalute, our mission is to advocate for "A Real Thank You®" for those who serve. This includes honoring the memory of those who were lost on 9/11 and recognizing all who have served since—from the brave men and women who answered the call to protect our country in the wars that followed, to the countless first responders and everyday citizens who embody the spirit of service and resilience.
This Labor Day weekend, and in the days leading up to the anniversary of 9/11, let's carry a shared sense of purpose: to remember, to honor, and to serve. Our collective memory is a powerful tool for honoring the past and shaping a brighter future.
Happy and restful Labor Day weekend to all. And as we continue to move forward, let's carry the promise to #NeverForget.
