Scott's View: Thoughts on Las Vegas Shootings and Invictus Games 2017

Scott's View

With eyes turned to our homeland and the safety of our citizens, our thoughts and prayers remain in Las Vegas for the shooting victims and their families. Additionally, and as it relates to you, the safety and our national security should be our top priority, and that means our trust and gratitude for the first responders and military who are called to perform in emergency situations and keep the peace.

As the citizens of Florida, Texas, Louisiana and Puerto Rico can attest, our National Guard and Reserve have been world-class in their disaster relief and recovery efforts. They have also kept the streets safe amid the chaos, and have been a stabilizing force in crisis situations. No matter the challenge, they are there for us.

Finally, Our partnership with Avis Budget Group continues to pay dividends for those who serve. They have been equipping FEMA hurricane relief efforts with needed cars, and have also been our presenting sponsor for free Veterans Advantage memberships we just provided to the U.S. Invictus Games Team, who just concluded a thrilling week of competition in Toronto for their annual event. Hat’s off to our preferred car rental providers for Veterans Advantage, Avis and Budget.
