Award-winning journalist Charles Osgood, renowned for anchoring "CBS Sunday Morning" for 22 years and hosting the long-running radio program "The Osgood File," passed away at the age of 91. He was an Army veteran and friend of Veterans Advantage during our early days.

Osgood, a gifted news writer, poet, and author, dedicated 45 years to CBS News, retiring in September 2016. His remarkable tenure on "CBS Sunday Morning" saw the show reach its highest ratings levels in three decades, earning him three Daytime Emmy Awards.

His contributions extended to radio, where he wrote and hosted "The Osgood File" for almost 46 years, earning him numerous accolades, including the Walter Cronkite Excellence in Journalism Award and a George Foster Peabody Award. In the early 2000s, Osgood assisted us in running our own radio campaigns with the help of a top nation radio network.
