U.S. active duty members are eligible for early boarding, a generous free baggage allowance with up to 5 bags while traveling on orders, and access to special military leisure fares.
Delta also provides unique support for military relocations, such as pet travel options for those on active transfer orders, and special savings on Delta Vacations packages, making it easier for service members to travel for both their active duty assignments and leisure.
How Do I Get the Delta U.S. Active-Duty Military Benefits?
Getting access to Delta's active-duty benefits varies by the perk, from showing a valid government military ID at the airport to calling to inquire and book specific military fares with Delta Reservations at 1-800-221-1212.
Details of the Offer
- Early Boarding: Active-duty U.S. military members with a valid government military ID are welcome to board early during the pre-boarding process.
- Free Baggage Allowance: Receive two free checked bags (up to 50 lbs) for leisure travel and five free bags (up to 100 lbs) when traveling on orders.
- Special Military Fares: Access discounted leisure fares for active-duty members and immediate family by calling Delta Reservations at 1-800-221-1212. Discounted, fixed fares are also available for those traveling on orders through the U.S. City Pair Program.
- Delta Vacations Discount: Save when booking flight, car rental, and hotel packages through Delta Vacations.
- Pet Travel: Active-duty members on transfer orders can check pets as baggage for a fee, a service not offered to the general public.
- Holiday Lounge Access: U.S. active-duty, veterans, and their families with a valid government military ID or other proof of service can access a special Delta military lounge in ATL Concourse E between Thanksgiving and the New Year.
