This month marks the 26th anniversary of the start of the Gulf War's second combat phase in response to Iraq's invasion of Kuwait codenamed Operation Desert Storm, a massive U.S.-led air offensive that raged from 17 January 1991 through 11 April 1991. We need to thank our veterans who served in Operation Desert Storm, care for our wounded veterans, and remember the families of those 149 service members who made the ultimate sacrifice in this early Middle East conflict.
