In recognition of Black history month, we have profiled two great Americans, Vet Family member and Fox News star commentator Harris Faulkner, whose Lt. Col Dad served proudly in Vietnam and Dell senior executive and Veterans Advantage Board member, Major General Frank Miller. Overcoming adversity and against the odds, they have risen to great accomplishment. We are proud to honor them.

Scott’s View: Paul “Bud” Bucha: An American Original

They say the best friendships are the ones that remain unchanged no matter how many years pass. I can truly say that about Paul W. “Bud” Bucha. A Medal of Honor recipient for valor he demonstrated in 1968, he assisted in the founding of WeSalute, when it was known as Veterans Advantage, 20 years ago.

He was an Army brat, a competitive swimmer, a graduate of both West Point and Stanford, an infantry captain. He arrived in Vietnam in November 1967 commanding D Company -- the “Clerks and Jerks,” they were called -- the last company formed when the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division adopted a four-rifle company configuration.
