That's been true for as long as I can remember, which goes back to Johnny Cash, who was an Air Force veteran. Maybe it's the intense love for our land shared by the singers and veterans alike which makes country music so compelling from a patriotic perspective.

Bentley's father, who passed away in 2012 was a World War II Army veteran who also had a passion for country music.
