Scott's View: VetFamily - Reese Witherspoon

Scotts View

We hope you are getting ready for back-to-school season like we are. With deals from Apple, Sears, and CVS/pharmacy, Veterans Advantage is your source to stock up and save.

Speaking of school, our VetFamily this week features actress Reese Witherspoon, who grew up in an Army family, the daughter of LTC John Witherspoon, a surgeon in Cold War Europe. Reese first reached public fame playing your atypical law school student in the 2001 comedy “Legally Blonde. We’ve been fans of her ever since, including her Oscar-award winning performance playing the spouse of veteran and country music star Johnny Cash in 2007’s “Walk the Line,” and her inspiring portrayal of Cheryl Strayed in “Wild” just a couple of years ago. Her latest release, "Home Again," is due for release in September.

Her dedication to inspiring young girls while achieving personal success remains one of her crowning achievements. We honor Reese for all she has done, and for her dedication to important and worthwhile causes.
