Veterans Advantage once again honored the military and veteran community this month with events and new benefits as part of Veterans Week NYC 2016.

With three key events highlighting the week, Veterans Advantage and its 2016 sponsors treated VetRewards Card members, VIPs, and fellow veterans and their families to special memories celebrating service.

“We wanted to thank our sponsors for once again reminding us all that the freedoms we enjoy today come thanks to our nation’s veterans, and that every day should be Veterans Day,” said Scott Higgins, Veterans Advantage Founder and CEO, and a Vietnam Veteran.

Starting with the annual Veterans Day parade on 11/11, Veterans Advantage’s float traveled up New York’s historic Fifth Avenue amid the cheers of spectators showing their support of the 20,000+ participants.

After the parade, Veterans Advantage and IMAX hosted parade-goers to a free IMAX movie screening of “Sully,” starring Tom Hanks, about the heroic water landing of a US Airways jet by Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate and veteran.

Later that weekend, Veterans Advantage hosted its fifth-annual “Heroes Meet Heroes,”  event uniting U.S. Military Veterans with U.S. Olympians and World Championship athletes.
