Dedication Ceremony for Tallahassee VA Health Care Center

TALLAHASSEE, FL – A dedication ceremony has been scheduled for the Tallahassee Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Care Center (THCC) on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.  The new facility opened its doors to serving area Veterans October 2016. The new THCC is located at the intersection of East Orange Avenue and Blair Stone Road (2181 East Orange Avenue, 32311) and is three stories and 197,170 gross square foot of space. The clinic is more conducive to patient centered care and provides state of the art technology and increased specialty services.

The keynote speaker is Congressman Neal Dunn (R-2-FL).  He has been a surgeon in Panama City for 25 years and served in the United States Army for over 10 years prior.  Dr. Dunn represents the Second Congressional District of Florida and currently lives in Panama City, Florida with his wife Leah. In his free time, he enjoys hunting for quail and pheasant and spending time on the water.

Also participating in the Ceremony will be the Big Bend Honor Guard and special remarks from Leon County Commissioner/Chairman John Daly and Tallahassee Mayor Pro Tempore Gil Ziffer.  Following the ceremony there will be refreshments in the main lobby of the facility.

Event is open to the public.

Born in Boston, his competitor’s territory, he hails from a military family. His father, Hugh, graduated from West Point and served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1977, while his grandfather served in World War II and his aunts served in Vietnam as nurses.
