Vet News: Humana Veterans Healthcare Services Names New Chief Executive Officer

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM - News) – Humana Veterans Healthcare Services, announces the appointment of Tim S. McClain as the company's new president and ny's initiatives in veteran's health care, including the current Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) demonstration Project HERO, while providing executive leadership and insight as the company continues to seek innovative ways to build its business.

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, McClain has over 35 years of experience in executive leadership, law, and management of complex organizations. He is retired from the Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps, where he served as a Military Judge. From 2001 to 2006, he served as General Counsel for the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs, a Senate-confirmed Presidential appointment position, serving two Cabinet secretaries and managing an office of 400 attorneys stationed across the country. In 2005, he served concurrently as General Counsel and as VA's Chief Management Officer. He was designated as VA's Chief Financial Officer, Chief Procurement Executive, and Agency Environmental Executive. Before joining the VA, McClain was a litigation partner with a law firm in La Jolla, California.
