The bill would extend the foreclosure safeguard provision of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) through December 31, 2017. As part of the bill, eligible veterans are protected from any sale, foreclosure, or seizure of their property without a court order or waiver agreement signed by the servicemember for a one-year period after their active military service.
