Cover Story: Marine Corps Birthday Celebration

As part of our ongoing support of Fisher House, Veterans Advantage was proud to participate in this year’s NYC Marine Corps Birthday Gala. Veterans Advantage Board member and event organizer Gerry Byrne, with the help of actor Harvey Keitel were gracious hosts for the evening, as they have been for the last 11 years of the Gala held on October 30, 2008 at the Capital.

Senator Webb received the Marine for Life Award and was praised for his extraordinary success in passing the new GI Bill this year. Others recognized included Gen. James T. Conway, Commandant, of the USMC as the military Guest of Honor, The United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps and Fox News correspondent Greg Kelly, himself a Marine fighter pilot for nine years.
