Scott's View: National Moment of Remembrance for our Military Fallen on Memorial Day 2018
Scott Higgins, WeSalute Co-founder & Co-CEO

This is the 150th Anniversary of Memorial Day. As the Military Appreciation Month of May concludes, we pause to remember those who gave their lives in defense of our freedoms and their families. It is so important that we remember them because we owe them such a tremendous debt of gratitude. If you know someone who has lost a loved one who served or given their lives in service to our country, take a moment to tell them how thankful you are.
This month, we honor HeroVet Mike Abrams, a Marine Veteran doing great work in educating our veterans. As they transition to the civilian world, he is helping them find the dream career they richly deserve. Through his work at Columbia University, and the FourBlock 501c3 he founded, Mike is improving the lives of our servicemen and women in significant ways. We salute him!
As we do each year, we urge everyone to take a moment to reflect during our National Moment of Remembrance. At 3 pm local time on Memorial Day Monday, pause for one minute, alone or with friends, to honor those who have died in service to our country. Set the alarm on your mobile device and remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice - you will join millions of Americans in Remembrance and you will be glad you did.
