Active Duty Member Boarding
Active duty military members who did not receive an “A” boarding pass can board between the A and B groups, with a valid military I.D. card at checkin.
Active Duty Member Baggage
No fee is charged for additional pieces of baggage for active duty military members with a valid military I.D. at the time of checkin.1 The active duty military member baggage allowance is up to 20 pieces of baggage per flight.

Terms & Conditions
A1-A15 seat boarding Business Select fares is confirmed when you check in 24 hours prior to your flight.
*First and second checked bags. Weight and size limits apply. A golf bag or skis in a container acceptable to Southwest® can be substituted for one checked bag.
**If you need to change an upcoming flight itinerary, you’ll only pay the difference in fare (if one applies). Failure to cancel a reservation at least 10 minutes prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds.
1Military Customers traveling on active duty will be exempt from the two-piece baggage limit and will not be subject to excess, oversize, or overweight baggage charges, provided that none of the pieces of baggage exceeds 100 pounds in weight and 80 inches in size (L+W+H). Bags in excess of 80 inches cannot be checked as baggage but can be shipped as cargo if the Customer is a TSA Known Shipper. Dependents traveling without the active-duty military member are subject to normal excess, oversized, and overweight charges.
