Scott's View Military & Veterans News Scott's View: Remembering our TopVet Award Recipient; Veteran of the Year Award This week, I want to take a moment to remember a recipient of our TopVet Award for Bruce Whitman who recently passed away. Bruce was an Air Force Veteran and a great supporter of Veterans Advantage. It's been a bittersweet time for us, as we mourn his loss. In addition to his CEO position at Flight Safety International, Bruce was Chairman Emeritus of the Medal of Honor Foundation and served on the Metropolitan USO Board. We celebrate his lifelong commitment to veterans advocacy and know he will be missed dearly by all of us who are his fellow veterans, colleagues, and family.
vietnam memorial Military & Veterans News Scott's View: We Honor the Service of Our Vietnam Veterans on “National Vietnam War Veterans Day”  I was pleased to see the DoD recognize my fellow Vietnam Veterans with a wreath-laying ceremony at The Vietnam War Memorial today. It sets the stage for a weekend of “Welcome Home” tributes for a generation of war veterans that never received recognition for their service and sacrifice to our country, many of whom are still dealing with the aftershocks and consequences of that war.
